Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain
Ibiza, Mallorca’s little sister, named “White Island” because of its architecture, is the third largest island in the Balearic archipelago; together with his lesser neighbor, Formentera forms a group of Pitius Islands or “Pine Islands”. This is a small island: 45 km long and 25 km wide.
His reputation for wild nightlife is perfectly justified. Ibiza has the largest concentration of clubs and discos than any other city in Europe.
However, the island has not yet completely lost its traditional character. The north of the island is covered with olive gardens and green hills, and the coastal area is dotted with rocky bays.
An important cultural revolution occurred in the 1970s, when during the Second World War a large number of artists and refugees from Central Europe appeared, which gave Ibiza a cosmopolitan, multinational character.
In terms of climate, the island has hot summers, and in winter (October – March) the maximum temperature is from 14 to 23 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is about 7 – 15 ° C.
The number of beaches on the island of Ibiza is about 50. They have a special beauty, with fine sand and crystal blue water. There are beaches for families, secluded beaches and more lively, with constant discos.
Ibiza is also famous for its impressive natural landscapes. One of the places where you can admire the extraordinary beauty is Cala d’Hort beach, in front of which lies the mysterious cliff of Es Vedra.
